About me

Starting my 30th year in math education! Taught for 8 years at Smithfield-Selma High School in Johnston County before transferring to Wake County in 2002 to help open Middle Creek High School. Taught there for 6 years before transferring to Central Services to become the high school math curriculum specialist. Actively involved with statewide initiatives such as NC2ML and the Large District Math Collaborative. Our district is one of the adopters of the MVP high school math curriculum that is currently housed in OpenUp Resources. Proud parent of 5 cats and two kids (3, if you count my husband!) - one at Appalachian State and one at UNC-G.
