About me
Julie has been in the business of supporting Elementary students and teachers for over 25 years. She has always had a passion for helping others but found her true calling when she became an Elementary Math Coach and Trainer, where she focused mainly on developing teaching practices to support students’ understanding of math word problems. She bundled many best practices into a reading comprehension tool which support students’ interpretation of math stories. She calls this tool Structures of Equality (SoE). Julie works with Wake and Durham County Public Schools, provides free virtual professional development and supports the teachers and staff at Sav Inclusive School in Jamaica.
