In this hands-on session, Math 1 teachers will explore how to use algebra tiles to build a deeper understanding of polynomials. Teachers will learn strategies to visually represent and simplify polynomial expressions by adding and subtracting like terms. They will also practice using tiles to model polynomial multiplication and explore how to apply these models to factoring. By experiencing these concepts concretely, teachers will be better equipped to help students make connections between symbolic and visual representations, ultimately enhancing student engagement and comprehension. This session will provide practical tools to bring polynomial concepts to life in the classroom.
