Teachers will exlore the use of base ten blocks to build conceptual understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Focus will be on supporting student learning with hands on, visual learning rather than procedural methods. Teachers will walk away from this session with practical strategies that they can use in their classrooms immediately.
